A steel wire, sometimes sheathed with polyethylene (PE) for cable with high fiber count, locates in the center of the core as a metallic strength member. Tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core. the double-coated plastic strip (PSP) is applied around the cable core. which is filled with the filling compound to protect it from water ingress. Then the cable core is covered with a thin PE inner sheath. After the PSP is longitudinally applied over the inner sheath, the cable is completed with a PE outer sheath.
2. GYFHTY63 stranded loose tube nonmetallic strength member armored and double sheathed cable construction is that 250um fibers are positioned in a loose tube which is made of high modulus plastic and filled with a water-resistant filling compound; A fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), sometimes sheathed with polyethylene (PE) for cable with high fiber count, locates in the center of core as a non-metallic strength member; Tubes are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core; Water blocking yarn and water blocking tape protect cable core from water ingress and covered with a polyethylene (PE) inner sheath; After fiber glass fiber yarns are longitudinally applied over the inner sheath, the cable is completed with a PE outer sheath.
3.
